Terroir, Winemaking and Aging

Terroir

Signargues is one of the 18 crus of the Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation, a guarantee of recognized superior quality. Located on a former Rhône riverbed, this plateau benefits from an exceptional clay-limestone terroir covered with rounded pebbles. The powerful Mediterranean mistral wind sweeps across the vines, which are on average 30 years old, concentrating the aromas and ensuring remarkably pure grapes.

Planting density: 4000-4500 plants/ha | Controlled yield: 40 hl/ha

Winemaking & Aging

Harvested at optimal ripeness, rigorous plot selection. Temperature-controlled vinification in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit and gently extract the tannins.

Aged for 24 months before bottling , allowing for remarkable tannic suppleness and smoothness.

Grape varieties

Grenache Noir (70%)
The power and generosity of Grenache define its luscious character. Its characteristic aromas are primarily ripe black cherry, tobacco, mocha, white pepper, and licorice. It brings roundness and fruitiness to the blend.

Syrah (30%)
The intensity and tannic potential of Syrah make it a grape variety of particular complexity. Aromas include violet, blackcurrant, and blackberry, with smoky and peppery notes. With aging, animal, leathery, and truffle notes emerge. It structures the blend and gives it its aging potential.

Service & Conservation

Serving temperature: 16-18°C to reveal the full aromatic complexity of this Côtes du Rhône Villages.
