Awarded a Silver Medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris —the most demanding wine competition in France, judged blind—this fresh IGP Pays d'Oc white wine is the expression of a Rhône Valley terroir cultivated without compromise since 1978. A pioneer in organic farming , the estate goes even further: no animal products are used in the winemaking process, guaranteeing a vegan white wine from vine to bottle. A rare consistency, driven by a passion that has remained undiminished for nearly five decades.

An exceptional terroir in the heart of Languedoc
Château des Coccinelles' vineyard is rooted in one of the region's most noble soils: an ancient Rhône riverbed, in Domazan in the Gard. This unique Rhône terroir combines a clay-limestone subsoil with a layer of rounded pebbles inherited from the river. These stones accumulate solar heat during the day and gently release it to the vines at night, promoting a slow and precise ripening of the grapes — concentrating natural aromas and balance without forcing the hand.
The Mediterranean climate plays a decisive role in the quality of this organic Chardonnay. The powerful breath of the Mistral naturally dries the plots, protecting the bunches from humidity and reducing phytosanitary interventions to a strict minimum — a valuable advantage for the estate's organic viticulture approach. At 5,000 vines per hectare, the vines fully express the living character of a soil that has not been chemically treated for nearly fifty years.

Tasting Notes
The wine presents a luminous pale golden yellow colour, traversed by golden highlights indicating good maturity. The nose, typically Chardonnay, expresses itself generously: ripe and enveloping aromas of melon and quince jelly unfold smoothly, enhanced by delicate white flower scents and subtle yeasty notes that testify to careful winemaking, respectful of the raw material.
On the palate, this award-winning white wine reveals its full depth. The attack is creamy and generous, carried by a substantial body that coats the palate without ever weighing it down. The buttery flavours characteristic of great Chardonnays unfold elegantly, leading to a warm and persistent finish of good length. What is most striking is the integrity of the winemaking: no superfluous wood, no over-extraction — simply the fruit, the terroir, and the savoir-faire. A solidly built, honest, and fully accomplished Chardonnay. Serve between 8 and 10 °C for optimal expression.
