Côtes du Rhône rouge 2025 du Château des Coccinelles, trois étoiles vin exceptionnel et coup de cœur du Guide Hachette des Vins 2027

Three stars, exceptional wine: our 2025 Côtes du Rhône red is a coup de cœur in the Guide Hachette 2027

Three stars, “exceptional wine”: that is the rating the Guide Hachette des Vins 2027 gives our 2025 Côtes du Rhône red, with a coup de cœur on top. Three stars is the guide's highest rating. You will find our wine on page 1081, among the regional appellations of the Rhône Valley.

In the Guide Hachette, a star cannot be bought: it is earned in the glass, against thousands of other wines. Being recognised as an exceptional wine for an everyday organic Côtes du Rhône means a great deal to us.

Three stars in the Guide Hachette: the “exceptional wine” rating

For its 2027 edition, the guide reports 35,000 wines tasted and 7,000 selected. The wines are tasted blind by panels of professionals, then rated:

  • one star: very successful wine;
  • two stars: remarkable wine;
  • three stars: exceptional wine.

The coup de cœur (the little heart in front of the wine's name) is reserved for a handful of the best-rated wines. Our 2025 red has both: three stars and a coup de cœur.

What the Guide Hachette found in this exceptional wine

According to the guide, the tasters unanimously praised a red they describe as striking. On the nose, violet and candied strawberry, then a walk through the undergrowth among ferns and mushrooms, with a hint of cinnamon and brandied cherry. The palate is full and generous, the tannins velvety, the finish long.

The guide's advice: no need to wait. This exceptional wine can be enjoyed now and until 2030.

What to serve it with? Its undergrowth notes and supple tannins make it a great match for autumn cooking: pan-fried mushrooms, roast poultry, Provençal daube, a board of mature cheeses.

Three stars in the Guide Hachette and a medal in Mâcon for the same vintage

The three stars are not the only recognition for the 2025 vintage: it had already won a Silver Medal at the Concours des Grands Vins de France in Mâcon 2026. Two different juries, months apart, reached the same conclusion about this vintage.

An organic estate since 1978

Château des Coccinelles has been the Fabre family's estate since 1928, in Domazan in the Gard, between Avignon and the Pont du Gard. The family filed its organic specifications in 1974 and obtained organic certification in 1978, at a time when nobody asked for it. Our wines are now certified by Bureau Veritas.

These three stars do not reward a prestige wine kept for special occasions. They recognise our everyday Côtes du Rhône, the one we open with family and friends.
